Every controller ships with generic parameters. We configure travel limits, home position, tool changer settings, work offsets, and safety parameters to match your specific machine model and installed accessories before any production work begins.
Your CAM software needs an accurate digital model of the new machine — not a generic template — including its actual travel, tool changer, and any rotary/tilt axes. This is also when material libraries and toolpath templates get set up so you're not rebuilding basic settings on your first real job.
The post processor that comes with your CAM software's generic library almost never matches a new machine's specific tool change sequence, retract logic, or M-code requirements exactly. We match or build the correct post processor for your specific CAM-to-controller combination before you run production parts.
Before committing to full production, we verify actual cut parts against spec — checking tool paths, compensation, and cycle behavior on real material, not just a simulation. This catches the small mismatches that simulation alone won't show.
Skipping straight to production parts without this sequence is the most common reason new machines get a reputation for being "unreliable" in their first few weeks — when the real issue is usually a mismatched post processor or an unconfigured machine library, not the machine hardware itself.
